Oral surgery
We do our best to keep your natural teeth. However, your dental check-up may reveal that surgical manipulation or tooth extraction is required. Our goal is to make saying goodbye to the tooth as painless and forgettable as possible. The procedure will be approached with care and responsibility.
Dental implants
The placement of implants and their subsequent appropriate upgrade is an excellent alternative to the restoration of dentitions with dental bridges or removable dentures. The Biotech system, which we use, is among the top-rated implantological systems in the world and provides optimal conditions for successful treatment.
Implant treatment is a modern way to restore missing teeth, and thus the overall function and aesthetics of the mouth. The placement of one or more implants and their subsequent appropriate prosthetic upgrade is considered a suitable alternative to the restoration of the dentition with bridges or removable dentures.
Very often the trimming of bridge-bearing teeth requires a root canal treatment of one or more of them. In other cases, patients do not tolerate or dislike removable dentures, especially if their stability is compromised. By placing one or more implants in the place of the lost teeth, the need to trim neighboring teeth for is no longer required.
In practice, the placement of the implant and its loading with a crown or a bridge can be two-stage or immediate. Immediate implantation allows the patient to leave with a new crown in place of the missing tooth after the end of the first visit. The disadvantages of this technique are the much more unpredictable results and the risk of rejection of the implant, as well as the impossibility of making large bridge structures.
The two-stage technique involves opening the bone, creating a bed in it, placing the titanium implant and closing the wound. In the next stage (after 3-4 months) the implant, which is already well integrated in the bone, is rediscovered and a superstructure modeling the gum is placed on it. After 2-3 weeks, this superstructure (healing abutment) is replaced with a prosthetic one, on which the final prosthetic structure is built.
Wisdom tooth extraction
Wisdom teeth are the third molars in the permanent dentition. As the last teeth in the line, they often lack space. Their direction of eruption may be changed, which can create problems such as food retention, inflammation, pain and even the inability to open your mouth freely.
In these cases, their surgical removal is recommeded. Don’t worry – we will make sure the procedure is painless, as well as give recommendations for minimal postoperative discomfort.
